As one of the immediate areas largest law firms, the attorneys at the Litchney Law Firm have nearly half a century  of combined legal experience and are highly motivated, well educated and provide immense value to clients of all types with varied needs. They are able to understand their clients and their legal issues by really listening to them, and by knowing the right questions to ask and the correct steps to take. They stay abreast of legal trends and emerging issues. Sarah Litchney, Esq.

Founding attorney and CEO, Sarah Litchney’s past legal experience includes, among others, assisting in Intellectual Property and Business Law matters as counsel for a Bay Area chemical company and a prestigious fellowship with the National Academy of Sciences in Washington D.C working with some of the nation's top attorneys, CEO's, heads of prestigious universities and scientists. She also spent some time working with a Northern Californian Superior Court and District Attorney’s Office, for broad exposure to the many faces of the law.

A native Californian, Ms. Litchney attended the prestigious Cornell University, an Ivy League university, located in New York. During her time at Cornell University Ms. Litchney achieved high marks and was the recipient of many distinguishing awards and scholarships. She was active on campus serving as University ambassador and active within the Greek community and the associations affiliated with her area of study.

She returned to Northern California to attend law school at the highly regarded and esteemed University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, a top tier law school. Ms. Litchney obtained a certificate in Intellectual Property, was the recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and was nominated by the Dean and awarded the American Bar Associations Intellectual Property award for academic excellence in Intellectual Property studies. She was active on the campus in organizations affiliated with her area of study, as well as with the law school’s student bar association.

Laurie Alexander, Esq.

Ms. Alexander is a native Sacramentan and proud mother, and has lived in the area all of her life. Ms. Alexander graduated from Sacramento State University and attended Lincoln Law School in Sacramento. Ms. Alexander has extensive experience in many areas of law; including real estate law and foreclosure prevention, bankruptcy, and estate planning and trust administration. Ms. Alexander is very experienced with the legal issues and rules surrounding real estate, purchase money loans, recourse and deficiency judgments, short sale, deed in lieu of foreclosure and loan modifications as well as general negotiations for all debts.

Ms. Alexander has a great depth of experience, and in the past has worked at some of the finer law firms in the Sacramento area. She enjoys assisting clients in their hour of need; whatever the area of law.

Also a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and other applicable membership groups, Ms. Alexander enjoys remaining up to date and educated on a variety of topics that impact our clients today. Lucas Garcia, Esq.

Mr. Garcia was born and raised in the Pacific North West and moved to California to begin his legal education after completing his Bachelor’s degree in History at the University of Washington. He attended one of the nation’s top law schools at the University of California at Davis, King Hall Law School for his Juris Doctor Law degree. Mr. Garcia is an experienced and well-respected bankruptcy and real estate attorney. He is an excellent negotiator, counselor and manager. He has extensive experience counseling and representing clients in bankruptcy actions in Federal Court in all Districts of California, many of which involved foreclosure and real estate actions and issues. Mr. Garcia is also very experienced with the legal issues and rules surrounding real estate, purchase money loans, recourse and deficiency judgments, short sale, deed in lieu of foreclosure and loan modifications as well as general negotiations for all debts. He has advised businesses and business owners both in bankruptcy actions and otherwise in many areas of the law.

An expert in negotiations Mr. Garcia has established himself as one of the region’s finest attorneys in effective client advocacy. In an effort to improve attorney-client relationships and negotiations on behalf of the client, he founded the official King Hall Negotiation Team which focuses on client representation through counseling, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution. As the President and Team Captain of the Negotiation Team, he emphasized to team members the importance of diligent representing clients and understanding how to solve the client’s situation quickly, cost effectively, with a positive outcome.

He is an experienced and successful attorney having served as the managing partner of a large Silicon Valley intellectual property law firm for ten years and as the Senior Director of Intellectual Property and Patent Counsel for Macrovision Corporation in Santa Clara, CA. After graduating from U.S.C. in Los Angeles, CA with a B.S. in Computer Science, he worked as a software and systems engineer for about ten years prior to attending law school.

In 1989, he joined the law firm of Blakely, Sokoloff, Taylor, and Zafman LLP and became Managing Partner of the Sunnyvale office, the largest office of the Blakely firm. During his 15 years with the Blakely firm, he prosecuted, licensed, and enforced patents and patent applications primarily related to computer systems, Internet technology, digital rights management, and software products for a variety of Silicon Valley clients, including Intel, Apple, eBay, and Cisco.

While at Macrovision, he was responsible for managing, monetizing, enforcing, and licensing Macrovision’s substantial patent portfolio. He has served as expert witness and litigation support counsel in several patent litigation matters. He is a registered patent attorney and a member of the state bars of California and the State of Washington.  

Gabe Klug, Esq.

 

Mr. Klug is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on bankruptcy, real estate, short sales, deed in lieu of foreclosure as well as general negotiations for all debts.
Prior to joining the Litchney Law Firm, Mr. Klug practiced as a litigation associate at law firm in Roseville, California, where he handled a variety of complex real estate/predatory lending matters in state and federal court. During his time there Mr. Klug was able to see firsthand the distress people face due to the housing market and the general economic environment.
Mr. Klug received undergraduate degrees with honors in political science and history from the University of California, Davis.   He continued his education and later graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law. During law school, Mr. Klug excelled in oral advocacy as a semi-finalist in moot court. He used his skills to assist others craft their oral advocacy talents.
During his studies Mr. Klug studied abroad at the University of Munich and worked at the prestigious law firm Boehmert and Boehmert in Munich, Germany, focusing on European and German intellectual property systems and anti-trust, with comparative reference to U.S. systems.
Mr. Klug is a proud member of the California State Bar admitted to practice in all state courts, and he is admitted to practice in the Eastern U.S. District Court in California, he is also a member of the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum.
 

Oliver Greene, Esq.

Mr. Greene received his Juris Doctor from the Santa Barbara College of Law. His study there included courses in trial advocacy taught by the then-District Attorney of Santa Barbara, Tom Sneddon. He also received the Dean's Award of Excellence. Mr. Greene earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara. There he studied English Literature and received his Bachelor of Arts degree.

 Since graduating from law school, Mr. Greene has done work exclusively in Bankruptcy law. He has represented hundreds of clients and attended hundreds of bankruptcy hearings while working with different firms in California. He has extensive experience, and has established a rapport with, the Bankruptcy trustees and judges in the Eastern District of California.
