Our Process
Our process is designed to ensure your confidence in our planning process each step of the way. Every decision is reviewed with you multiple times and yet within a little over a month after meeting with one of our attorneys, your family could be totally protected and your trust binder fully signed and executed.
It's the perfect combination of efficiency and caring.
The planning process itself begins with an initial meeting that is an opportunity for you to meet with one of our attorney’s so that you each can determine whether there is a good fit between you and our firm.
During this initial meeting, your attorney will walk you through exactly what your loved ones would have to do and where your assets would go if something happened to you.
You will then be able to determine if there was anything about your current plan (or California’s plan for you) that you wouldn't like and you'll get clear on what you would want to happen if something happened to you.
Assuming there is a good fit between you and our firm, your attorney will help you to choose the planning level and fee that is right for your family (we have three different planning levels to accommodate your needs - and they are all inclusive, so there are no surprises at the end) and you and your attorney will then design a plan that will give you the peace of mind of knowing your family will be taken care of in the event the unthinkable happens.
After the design of your plan is complete, you will return to our office about 6 weeks later to sign your planning documents and your family and assets will be totally protected in the event of your death as of that point.
In most law firms, the relationship ends there.
This is where our law firm is very different.
We see signing your estate planning documents as the beginning of our lifetime relationship with your family, and not just the delivery of a set of documents. If your plan is not properly updated over time, your documents become worth no more than the paper they were written on.
As your assets change, as your family changes, as the law changes, all of these changes must be accommodated and updated within your trust. We at the Litchney Law Firm make sure that happens by communicating with you regularly, by reviewing your plan at least every two years (at no additional charge), and by keeping you informed so you can make the best possible decisions for your family during your lifetime and so that you can have the peace of mind of knowing we will be here for the people you love most in the event of your incapacity or death. In addition, our clients and their families enjoy discounted fees for trust administration.
We look forward to meeting with you if you have already made your appointment, if however you have not and if this sounds like the kind of relationship you are looking for, please contact us so we can schedule time for you to meet with one of our attorney’s for a free initial consultation!
Our Fees
We have three levels of estate planning that fit everyone’s needs and budget and all of our prices are fixed and package pricing, so you know ahead of time how much it is going to cost. In addition, we accept all major credit cards and even have zero interest payment plans to assist our clients in getting their estate planning done and checking it off of their list of things to do! Don’t put it off any longer, at our prices you cannot afford not to plan!
